Raventós i Blanc Blanc de Blancs Cava - A Dazzling Expression of Catalonia's Terroir.

Nestled in the heart of Catalonia, Spain, Raventós i Blanc Winery stands as a beacon of excellence in the world of sparkling wines. With a history that spans centuries and a commitment to sustainable winemaking practices, this family-owned estate has garnered international acclaim for its dedication to crafting exceptional Cavas.

A Rich Legacy. The Raventós family can trace their winemaking roots back to 1497, making them one of the oldest wine-producing families in Spain. In the 19th century, they were pioneers in the creation of sparkling wines using the traditional method. However, in 2012, they decided to leave the Cava appellation to forge their own path and create wines that truly represented their terroir and vision.

Terroir and Vineyards: Raventós i Blanc Winery's vineyards are located in the Penedès region, where a mediterranean climate and diverse soils contribute to the unique character of their wines. The estate encompasses over 90 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards, with indigenous grape varieties such as Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada, and Monastrell. These grapes thrive in the limestone and clay soils, resulting in wines that beautifully express the essence of the land.

Raventós i Blanc Winery is committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture. They embrace biodynamic and organic practices, respecting the balance of nature and nurturing the health of their vineyards. From the use of cover crops and natural compost to the integration of animals in the vineyards, every step is taken to ensure harmony with the ecosystem. These practices contribute to the unique flavors and exceptional quality found in their wines.

At Raventós i Blanc, the winemaking process is a meticulous art form guided by tradition and innovation. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure only the finest fruit is used. The winery's state-of-the-art facilities combine modern techniques with respect for time-honored methods. Secondary fermentations take place in the bottle, following the traditional method, resulting in elegant and complex Cavas.

Raventós i Blanc offers a diverse portfolio of wines that showcase their dedication to quality and terroir. Their flagship wine, Raventós i Blanc De la Finca, is a sparkling wine that epitomizes their commitment to expressing the unique characteristics of their vineyards. With vibrant acidity, refined bubbles, and a rich depth of flavors, it captivates the senses.

Another standout is the Raventós i Blanc Blanc de Blancs, a crisp and refreshing Cava crafted exclusively from Xarel·lo grapes. It offers citrusy notes, a creamy texture, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Additionally, their still wines, such as the Raventós i Blanc Silencis and the Raventós i Blanc L'Hereu, showcase the versatility and quality of the estate beyond sparkling wines.

Raventós i Blanc Winery welcomes visitors to experience the charm and beauty of their estate. The winery offers guided tours, allowing guests to explore the vineyards, cellars, and learn about their winemaking philosophy. The estate also features a picturesque tasting room where visitors can indulge in the remarkable wines while taking in the stunning surroundings.
